First of all, thank you for visiting us…
Belize is a special place with magnificent natural attractions such as the Belize Barrier Reef, Great Blue Hole, ancient Maya civilization, mysterious caves and caverns, pristine tropical forests, rare birds, and exotic wildlife. Culture is also an important part of Belize.

During the week, I personally work from a log cabin. I love wooden buildings and the advantages that they bring to the environment. My log cabin is a perfect garden office retreat that enables me to work, write and think about work and this site. During the weekends I explore the surrounding countryside and nature. Its a idealic arrangement. Read More…

Cruising to Belize

Cruising has to be one of the best ways of arriving at Belize. Not only do you get to visit the wonderful Belize, you get to visit many interesting places on the way. A good many of the cruise ships have itineraries that include places such as Miami, Cozumel, Santo Tomas, Key West, Grand Cayman before you even arrive at Belize City.

As well as visiting some great locations, you get to relax and enjoy all the facilities of the cruise ship. And then there is the cruise food!
We have heard that there are soon to be cruises that depart from further away to arrive at Belize. You can get cruises from Southampton that on the way through the Caribbean, Panama canal and South America will be calling in on Belize. This is great for the visitors to see our stunning country and also very good news for our economy.

If you see visitors from the UK, do be sure to make them extra welcome.

Update: I see that the World Explorer Cruises are no longer running. Shame, I have great memories of them and the great cruising site we cruises cruise holiday specials. All that cruise adventures and experiences, now gone. Still, happy cruising memories.

It is these habitats which serve as essential breeding, rearing and feeding grounds for a vast array of living things.
